BOSTON DYNAMICS ATLAS

Atlas has a counter-rotating torso joint at the hip line that no other humanoid platform shares. Conventional jackets bind during the rotation. We pattern-engineer Atlas pieces with a discreet bias panel at the lower back that absorbs the rotation without visible distortion. This is the single most distinctive Atlas-specific construction we run.

The bright orange Atlas brand highlights at the joints can either be retained (lapel cutouts and sleeve gussets that frame the orange) or covered (full-coverage construction in a tonal palette). Both choices are common. We prototype both and let the client decide at the sample stage.

The chassis is wider through the chest and thigh than other humanoids and shorter overall (around 150 cm). We treat Atlas like an athletic-build menswear block: heavier shoulder construction, fuller chest, tapered to the waist. The result is a silhouette that reads as athletic-luxe rather than slim-luxe.

A horizontal camera band at the cone-shaped head, a chest sensor cluster, and depth cameras at the upper torso. We use sensor-window lace at the chest panel and design lapel and collar geometry to clear the head band.

Industrial Luxe (athletic build matches the technical aesthetic), Event Spectacle (the chassis carries dramatic silhouettes well), and Bespoke Singular for ceremonial guard and brand activation work. Executive Protocol is less common on Atlas because the proportions read athletic rather than corporate.
